Hey guys! Life has been busy, but I’ve been slowly working on this blog post for you because you all voted YES on seeing my wedding shoe picks! My dress arrived last week, which means it’s time for me to choose what shoes I want to wear. I haven’t picked out my shoes quite yet, but I’ve limited it down to two pairs. Yay!

The most important thing to me when I started shopping for wedding shoes was the heel height. I’m not good at walking in heels and I didn’t want to worry about tripping or wobbling on my wedding day. I decided a 2 inch heel was best for me. I found it easiest to shop by heel height, so that’s how I’m breaking it up on this post! I rounded up SO many beautiful options at different price ranges, check out my picks below!

Little White Dress Round Up

Hello and happy Wedding Wednesday! It’s basically five months until I say “I Do” and I just can’t believe how fast it’s going! Since I updated you last time, I’ve had both my cake tasting and floral meeting! They both went great and we are getting exactly what we both dreamed of! If you want to see some of my wedding Inspo, check out my 6 month wedding update here.

This summer, I will be traveling for my bachelorette party (details to come in a later post), but I have already started shopping for the perfect LWD (little white dress). I figure I will take full advantage of my “Bride status” and get as many LWD’s as possible! Today I’m rounding up my favorite places to find LWD’s as well as sharing some of my favorites!

When I saw this white romper I was instantly SOLD. It has such beautiful details! I love the romantic feel of the sheer bell sleeves and the crochet lining is so pretty, plus adds the perfect length. If you can’t tell, the whole romper has a Swiss dot pattern and the cinched waist makes this romper SO flattering. If you aren’t a bride, this romper comes in two other colors! I can’t link this one, so I provided a direct link HERE!

The Best Places to Shop For LWD

  1. Lulu’s -

This is probably my number one recommendation on where to look! They literally have a Bridal tab on their website full of wedding dresses, bachelorette dresses, bridal shower dresses and honeymoon outfits. This is a true destination shop for brides, I even know several brides who have gotten their wedding dresses from this site! The best part? They have so many affordable options.

I think this would be perfect for a bridal shower or rehearsal dinner!

2. Bhldn -

I fell in love with Bhldn (pronounced: Beholden) when I walked into an Anthropologie in Portland that carried this brand. They carry ethereal styles with the best details! They are typically known for their beautiful wedding dresses, but they also carry formal dresses that would be great for a rehearsal dinner or bridal shower. I plan on being pretty fancy for my rehearsal dinner, because why not?

3. Nordstrom -

The best part about shopping at Nordstrom is the multitude of brands they carry. There are always so many options! Whenever I’m on the hunt for something specific, I always look here first. I rounded up some great LWD’s at different price ranges below. The real question is, should I buy this lace midi dress?

4. Revolve -

Revolve is another site that carries a multitude of high-quality brands. This website tends to be a little too expensive for my everyday wardrobe, but it’s perfect for when you’re shopping for a special occasion like your wedding! I think it’s ok to splurge on bachelorette, bridal shower and rehearsal outfits because you only get married once! They make shopping easy, by having a “white tab” which you can find here.

5. ASOS -

Asos is another destination website for me when shopping for occasions. I love them because they offer a variety of price points, they constantly get new items, they offer Free 2 Day Shipping when you spend $120 or more, and returns are free and SO easy! They also have a Fit Assistant feature on their website, that’s usually pretty accurate.

6 Months Until We Say I Do!

6 Months Until We Say I Do!

On the 25th of this month it will be exactly 6 months until the big day! I cannot believe it! So far I have had a lot of fun planning and haven’t found it to be stressful. Now that we’re at the six month point I’m starting to feel the pressure, but I know it will all come together!

I always joke that the wedding planning process has been easy since I pretty much had my wedding already planned via Pinterest. Anyone else!? Once I got engaged I could instantly envision the wedding day I wanted and continued to pin and narrow down exactly what I wanted! Today I wanted to basically share my Pinterest board with you, a little sneak peek into the big day If you will.

27 Spring Wedding Guest Dresses

27 Spring Wedding Guest Dresses

Happy Wedding Wednesday! This is my second Wedding Wednesday this year and I’m so excited to share todays topic. Since it’s almost wedding season aka spring, I thought it would be fun to share 27 dresses that are appropriate to wear to weddings. First of all, always look at the invitation and/or wedding website to see what the dress code is. There are so many different types of dress codes! Anything from casual, to cocktail, to black tie, to black tie optional! Do your research before you pick the dress. Personally, I think it is always better to be overdressed than underdressed. Eric and I have not discussed what we want our dress code to be - I suggested black tie, but received eye rolls from my sister! So dress code is TBD.

How To Create A Personalized Bridesmaid Proposal

IMG_1942.jpg

I always thought bridesmaid proposals were dumb. I mean, why can’t I just ask you to be my bridesmaid and let that be it? But then I got engaged and right away I started thinking about how I wanted to ask my dearest friends. I knew I wanted them to be cute (duh) and also include champagne (major duh), but how was I going to personalize them? There are so many unique ways to personalize your proposals! I went with picture frames featuring me with each bridesmaid, representing a fun memory I’ve had with each one. Some other ideas I loved were:

1) Personalized Coffee Mug

This gift is perfect for all of your coffee loving besties! The coolest part is you can customize the mugs by choosing different hair colors and styles.

2) Monogrammed Champagne Glass

Since I knew I wanted to gift a mini bottle of champagne with each propsoal, I was so close to choosing these custom flutes! The font is so pretty and you can choose your color.

3) A Picture Frame of You + Your Bridesmaid

I ultimately chose to gift a picture frame, because it felt very personal to me. Me and my friends grew up taking pictures together, so it was a blast looking through old photos to choose the winner. These frames are lined with gold which matches the theme of my wedding, plus they are very affordable.

4) Personalized Wine Labels

A custom wine label, wine not? This is how my sister proposed to me to be her maid of honor! Bonus points if you put it on her favorite kind of wine.

5) “Tie The Knot” Bracelets + A Card

These “tie the knot” bracelets are so fun and something I would actually want to wear. Each bracelet comes with a metallic notecard to write a personal note. Or there is an option for a pink jewelry bag to hold the bracelet, that say I Can’t Tie The Knot Without You.” There are multiple bundles to purchase them in, depending on the number of bridesmaids.

I sent these boxes to all of my girls and I’m so happy with how they turned out! Top them off with confetti, champagne chocolates and your favorite bubbly and you’re good to go!
