72 Hours In Scottsdale, Arizona

I recently went on a girls trip with my longtime friends to Scottsdale, Arizona. We have been trying to go on a trip together at least once a year. We wanted to go somewhere new, so we decided on Arizona since none of us had been! We arrived on Saturday morning and left Monday afternoon and it was the perfect amount of time for some desert fun! We decided to go in April before the heat becomes too much. It was a perfect weekend in the high 80's and 90's. Typically, you should try to visit Arizona in the spring months (March-May) and the fall months (September-December).

WHERE TO STAY

The main reason we wanted to visit Scottsdale was for the Saguaro Hotel. It's known for being bright, colorful, fresh and insta-worthy. How could we resist? The hotel was everything we hoped for! We were greeted by the concierge with strawberry water and a bright lobby and upgraded to a suite! The hotel features colorful balconies and on trend furniture. We had a view of the pool surrounded by palm trees, it was the perfect way to wake up in the morning!

One of my favorite parts of the hotel (and where I spent most of my time) was the pool! There are two pools at the hotel with two different vibes. The pool pictured above, was the bigger of the two pools and definitely had a party vibe. There were floaties scattered around the pool, music blasting and a bar! The second pool was smaller and more relaxing. There were more shaded areas, a waterfall and no music. Both of the pools had cabanas, day beds, lounge chairs and umbrellas!

Another fun activity they have on site is bike riding. This is free for guests. I would definitely take advantage of riding through Old Town Scottsdale. There are bikes scattered throughout the city that you have to pay for, so this is a nice amenity offered.

Other amenities include (additional costs):

Spa

Paddle board Yoga

Tequila Tuesday

Coffee & Juice Shop (fresh juice made to order!)

Restaurant

WHERE TO EAT

The hotel is located in Old Town Scottsdale, which is full of restaurants and bars. The first night we stopped at a random restaurant and had a not so good meal, so we researched the rest of our stops!

DIEGO POPS

This trendy little spot was about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. They offered street tacos, poke bowls, burritos and pitchers of margaritas! This was a perfect spot for happy hour! The pork taco was soooo yummy!

FARM & CRAFT

Farm & Craft was probably my favorite restaurant we went to. We came here during lunch, but since brunch was served all day I obviously ordered a breakfast sandwich! They offer sandwiches, salads, pizzas and more. Definitely get a Lavender Lemonade too!

OTHER RESTAURANTS:

The Henry (would be so pretty during the day, order the bolognese!)

Sugar Bowl (a pink ice cream shop with an old timey feel - I got the Hot Fudge Sundae)

Snooze an A.M. Eatery (because you always go to Snooze if you have the chance)

Dough Bird (fresh pizzas)

Brat Haus (Beer Garden that offers brats, burgers, salads, plus 28 craft beers on tap)

WHAT TO DO

There is plenty to do in Scottsdale! We honestly spent most of our time at the pool, but when we did venture out it was so much fun!

EXPLORE OLD TOWN SCOTTSDALE

The Saguaro Hotel is in the perfect location because it's located in Old Town Scottsdale, which is full of shops, restaurants and night life. It's set up like an old western town and it's so charming! Walk around and explore the shops during the day and experience all of the restaurants and bars at night!

A Look Inside Denver's Milk Market

Happy Friday friends! I am so excited because tomorrow I am leaving for a little vacay with my best friends! I'm going with my two closest friends who I've known since high school! They are actually twins, but we all live in different places, so it will be so much fun to be reunited. We are going to Arizona for some much needed pool + relaxing time.
