Cupid Approved Looks for Valentine's Day

It's officially February, which means it's almost Valentines Day! I don't have any plans quite yet. My boyfriend is in the restaurant business and honestly we have never had an official Valentine's Day date. Considering Valentine's is such a popular time for couples to go out to dinner, it calls for all the restaurant staff possible. Either way, he always makes me feel special. I'm a sucker for chocolate and not going to lie, if he doesn't get me a box of chocolates I'm disappointed (and he knows that). He always goes a step further and gifts me a stuffed animal or a bouquet of roses too! I know it's super cheesy and clichè, but I love it!

Even though I never really get to go out on the special day, I always dress the part! For me Valentines isn't about a fancy cocktail dress, but being festive. I get in the spirit by wearing all the shades of red + pink, plus all the girly little details. I'm going to share three outfit ideas perfect for Galentine's, during the day, and a romantic dinner date!

This pleated, crushed velvet midi skirt gives me all the feels. I dressed it up during the holidays, but now I wanted to dress it down and show off just how playful it can be! I paired it with the same fuzzy, burgundy sweater. Yes, that's right "I am an outfit repeater! But you're an outfit rememberer"! If you can name that movie we are already friends (pssst Lizzie Mcguire). This time I made it casual by layering the sweater with my favorite jean jacket. I added a heart pin, that's surprisingly one of the free rewards you can pick up at Sephora right now. The pin kit comes with a unicorn, peace sign and eyeshadow pin too! So if you have reward points to use at Sephora, I would definitely snag this up while you can! These pins would also look adorable on a backpack.

To keep the outfit fun and casual, I accessorized the outfit with my red velvet sneakers. This outfit is so much fun and perfect for your Galentine's day celebrations! Check out the whole look below! I'll be sure to link the outfit, so you can replicate it for your own bestie celebration!

Day date

My next outfit revolved around this darling blouse I recently got. It's light pink with metallic gold and silver foiled dots on it! It has a romantic vibe with ruffles on the sleeves and on the wrists and has a tiny ruffle collar. I loved it the moment I saw it and knew I had to get it! I paired it with light wash jeans with the cutest fringe detail on the bottom. I love that these jeans add flair to the simplest of outfits. I paired the look with my classic black block heels. This would be perfect for a day date, or a casual date at night!

I can't find this shirt in a shoppable link, so I'm linking it directly here! (It's on major sale you guys!)

Date Night

My last look is a little bit sassier. This top is old and I always forget I have it, but it's perfect for Valentine's Day! The bold red color screams v-day and the pretty bows on the sleeves add the perfect touch of romance. Since the top is tunic length, I paired it with my favorite leather leggings. This automatically dressed up the outfit! I accessorized with my favorite statement necklace and my black block heels. The best part about this outfit? It's so comfy! I love it when you can look so put together and so comfy at the same time- that's always my goal! If I do end up going to dinner with Eric on Valentine's Day (fingers-crossed) then I'm definitely going to wear this outfit!

Even though this top is older, I found a lot of great tunic length options in the prettiest shades of red! I linked them below!
